Good legal work starts before anything goes wrong.
Maryam came to law through risk. Before articling she spent her time inside construction projects where the cost of an unread clause was measured in months of delay and millions of dollars of exposure. That experience shapes how she practices today. She reviews contracts the way an underwriter reviews a policy — for what could go wrong, for what has been left unsaid, and for what an adversary would do with the language six months from now. Her practice focus is corporate governance, CCDC contract review, regulatory compliance, and discovery preparation on the litigation side. She is the person on the team who builds the closing binder no one ends up needing — which is exactly the point.
